Real Wedding: Kindra and Phil

Kindra and Phil celebrated their wedding on September 21, 2013 at their family farm. The couple chose Splashdrop Photography to capture the special day. Infused Catering provided the meal and Sugar Leaf Bakery created the delicious cake for the reception. Shannon Custom Floral designed all the arrangements, including the stunning bouquet, and decorated the reception tent. The yummy S’mores bar was designed by Social Graces. Kindra bought her beautiful gown from Normans in Downtown Springfield.

Here’s a sample of the gorgeous day!

Trend: Naked Cake

(source)

A new trend I really have my sights on are what they call a “naked” cake.  I never imagined loving a cake without the beautiful smooth coat of icing but I do.  They are so charming and adds a new look to any event or wedding.  I mean, who besides the little kids eats all the icing?  If you are like me, you scrap that large mass of icing off anyways.

Hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday.  Sorry for the absent on the blog this past week.  Things are crazy in the social graces world.  It’s a good crazy 😉

Party: Zeda’s 4th Birthday Part 2

edits195

Miss Z’s 4th Birthday was a hit!  We had such a fun day celebrating the wonderful girl she is and I had such a fun week after cleaning up the many many tiny sprinkles that were dropped. 😉  I am so happy with how everything turned out. However,  I’m not sure if I should call this a sprinkle party or a polka dot party, what do you think?  Either way, the outcome was great and my baby girl turned 4.  This was her third and final party of the weekend. By the end we were wiped and playing with a thousand Merida bow and arrows (from the movie Brave).  If you don’t know my little one, she would tell you her name is Merida.  There are many people in our neighborhood who don’t know Zeda’s actual name.  One of these days I’ll correct them. 🙂  Until then, we will call her Merida and party on like she has her mama’s crazy red hair (click here if you want to see what I’m talking about).

If you don’t remember her first party click here to check it out.IMG_5483 edits196IMG_5490 IMG_5494 edits197IMG_5498 edits198IMG_5536 edits199IMG_5540edits200IMG_5563IMG_5514

Real Wedding: Karly and Shaun

Today’s wedding is your classic backyard wedding that was filled with so much love and peace. The yard was perfect, the bride was beautiful and the weather turned out in our favor. The morning was unbearably hot, 100+ degrees as we decorated and took pictures. However, once it was time for the wedding a little rain came and cooled things off for the evening. The groom called it, “Such a blessing.” Both of them couldn’t stop smiling the rest of the night.

This couple is means a lot to me and I wish them the best of luck. You can check out their engagement pictures here and also their wedding shower here.
