Styling Away For 417 Bride

For the summer issue of 417 Bride, the Social Graces team styled another amazing photo shoot for the magazine. Alex Crowder, the photographer, shot Aunna Beckemeyer, Stephen Morgan, and Sarah Thomas on location at Big Cedar Lodge in May. The photo shoot was produced by Jessica Kennon Spencer of 417 Magazine. Hair was done by Megan Ogle of Frost Salon and Melanie Gibbs of Karma Salon. The flawless makeup was created by Andie Reynolds of Lavaré Spa & Salon.

The gorgeous wedding dresses for Aunna and Sarah were selected from Ella Weiss Wedding Design, Gracie’s Bridal, and Normans Bridal. The tuxes and other fabrics for Stephen were chosen from Blackwells Men’s Clothing, Ella Weiss Wedding Design, and Town & County.

We selected jewelry and accessories from Maxon’s Diamond MerchantsHarem & Company, Justice Jewelers, Mitchum Jewelers, STAXX, Ella Weiss Wedding Design, Normans Bridal, and Gracie’s Bridal.

Here is a sample of the stunning pictures for the magazine!

DIY: Cake Stands

Social Graces created cakestands for a cupcake bar in the winter edition of 417 Bride and today we’d like to share this DIY with you.

Image by Amy Pennington found here.

Jars/vases/candlesticks, whatever you’d like to use

Small plates

Sanding paper

Spray paint

1) Sand the stands and plates a bit to help the paint stick better.

2) Glue the plates to the stands and let dry according to the instructions on the glue package.

3) Paint the stands the desired color then let dry.

That’s it!  Easy DIY for your next party.

Tip:  These stands are easily reusable.  Change the paint color according to your party theme.  Just simply paint over the existing color.
