Vendor Spotlight: Liddie Mae Designs

We are particularly excited about Liddie Mae Designs because they are local to the Springfield, MO area. However, owner Sarah James, also has a Liddie Mae Etsy shop for those of you that are not in the area.

From Sarah: I have always loved creating things and stumbled upon this hobby turned into business one day when I was looking at a pillow with a humungous flower on it, and thought “I think I could do that”.

My creativity goes in a lot of directions all at once…currently I am making:
1.  Everyday accessories:  flower and rosette hair clips and headbands.  They are all hand cut and pieced together.  Also, shoe clips and necklaces with flowers and rosettes and belts/sashes.

2.  Bridal accessories – flower fascinators, sashes for brides/bridesmaids, flower girl accessories, corsages for grooms/mother of the bride, rosette garters made from dupioni silk, and bridal shoe clips.  Fabric garland for decor/photo props at weddings.

3.  Party/Room decor – Fabric garland banners that can be customized with letters on them, diaper cakes, and shower “cupcakes” made with baby items for gifts.

Liddie Mae Designs does custom orders for brides and for customers just wanting everyday accessories. To see more of what Sarah does, check out Liddie Mae’s facebook page, Etsy shop or write to liddiemaedesigns@gmail.com. Tell her we sent you! 🙂

Something Borrowed: Green Wedding Shoes

This is just so so so fun!  Who wouldn’t want a party in a candy store.  This wedding from Green Wedding Shoes screams summer lovin’.  I love the colors, the details and all the flowers.  My favorite part of the whole wedding is the cake by Shyndigz.  Look at that cake, it’s simply amazing.

Wedding: Bobby and Emily Phillips

What a joy it was to be a part of Emily and Bobby’s day.  Emily and I met multiple times before the wedding to dream, plan and then hammer out the details.  They hired me to coordinate the day of, and what a day it was.  Emily made such a beautiful bride in one of the most classy weddings I’ve seen.  Social Graces wishes them many years of happiness!

Enjoy taking a peek at their gorgeous day.

Something Borrowed: Style Me Pretty

I absolutely love getting color ideas from Style Me Pretty.  I came across a wedding the other day and completely fell in love with the colors.  I’m starting to really become a sap for a rustic theme which is a bit of a surprise since I’ve never been a real “country girl.”  I feel designers have taken “rustic” to a whole new level of style and I’ve just been so impressed time and time again.

This rustic wedding has indeed caught my eye.  The colors mixture is genius.  The teal and other greens are so beautiful on their own but when you mix the earthy orange and yellow it makes the greens pop and it becomes so stunning.  I’m in love with these colors.

To get a full view of this wedding and all their details visit Style Me Pretty.

DIY: Pretty Shoes

I have such a fun project to share with everyone.  They are the cutest shoes around and could be used for any occasion.  These particular shoes are for a bride whose wedding I’m doing in March.  The bride and I spent an entire day one Friday working on a bunch of little DIYs for the wedding.  Be sure to come back, you will be seeing more DIYs in weeks to come.  For a full description on how to make these shoes click here.

BHLDN: Anthropologie Enters Weddingland

Such exciting news…and on Valentine’s Day at that! Today, Anthropologie unveiled BHLDN, a gorgeous wedding line. The actual pronunciation of BHLDN is “beholden.” According to Green Wedding Shoes, it is inspired by the Dutch word for “to keep.” The collection is unique, feminine and just a step outside the box (in a good way, of course!). I love it. Maybe I could buy another wedding dress just for the heck of it??

A few of the dresses:

The one on the left is my favorite!!
