DIY Wednesday: Mum Centerpiece

Monday we featured a recent Social Graces party and today, we’d like to show you a simple DIY from that event; The mum centerpieces.  One main request for the party was fall decorations, namely mums.  When shopping for mums, I had a hard time forking over money for planters or baskets to place the mums in.  I found these mums at Lowes for around two dollars and wanted to buy several.  In order to stay within my budget I needed to have an inexpensive way to cover the ugly black plastic.  Once I saw the beautiful chevron burlap, I knew exactly what to do.

Supplies:

Plant of choice

Burlap

Scissors

Gluegun

Twine

Look at the awesome chevron burlap I found at Hobby Lobby for only $5

1. Cut the burlap to size

2. Glue the edges to hold the burlap in place

3. Tie the twine around to help give the plant a “finished” look
