Styling Away in the 417

The last couple weeks around here has been quite the whirlwind! We were thrilled to be hired on at 417 Bride (an offshoot of our local 417 Magazine) to style a photospread at Silver Dollar City for their upcoming summer issue. After weeks of scheduling models and fittings, pulling bridal gowns and accessories, picking out cakes, flowers and so much more, we finally pulled it all together for an incredible photoshoot earlier this week. We had such a great time and cannot wait to share the issue that will grace the newstands mid-summer. While Amy Pennington’s photos will be absolutely stunning in the spread, we just had to share a few “behind-the-scene” iPhone photos.

Model, Erin, getting a last minute touch up from Chelsea of Karma Salon, while 417 Art Director, Cassie, looks on. Dress by Frock, flowers by Back Porch Tea House.

Our very rustic cake stands being styled for a detail shot (more about these cake stands soon!). Cake by Creations by Darlene, stands by Justin Kochs.

Model, Sonja, sitting in some very fun tea cups, while photographer Amy Pennington shoots away. Flowers by Lily’s Floral.

Cassie assisting Sonja before her shot on the carousel. Dress found at Gracie’s Bridal.

Model, Cynthia, rocking an awesome veil during her nautical-themed shoot. Veil by Felicita, dress/belt found at Ella Weiss, flowers by The Nest.

Bride model, Erin, alongside her groom model, King, at the waterfall. Tux by Karl’s Tuxedo, dress by Frock, flowers by Back Porch Tea House.

Bride model, Alyea, posing as 417 Magazine intern, Clay, holds the reflector. Dress found at Gracie’s Bridal, flowers by Linda’s Flowers.

We’ll let you know as soon as the issue hits the stands! For now, check out 417 Bride’s facebook page for other updates and local wedding ideas!
