I’ve been planning events since I was a child. As the oldest of three, I’ve always been an event planner of some sort. Whether it was a home grown play or a neighborhood babysitting day, I’ve been trying to “run things” since the day I was born. It really is no surprise that every job I’ve had has centered around that. I’ve done such a wide range of events: church outreach, easter egg hunts, nights of music, fancy dinners…I even produced a city-wide Christmas Parade three years running. Wedding planning is a whole other ball game though. And I fell in love with wedding coordination while planning my own. As a photographer, I’ve only learned to know the process more.
My wedding was in Springfield, MO, but I planned it from twelve hours away – from the Gulf Coast of Alabama. This required me to be extra organized and to really know what I wanted. The day turned out better than I could have ever expected.
Here’s a few images from my own big day – Megan
