417 Bride Summer 2012 Sneak Peak

We have spent the last few weeks getting ready to style the 417 Bride Summer 2012 feature shoot that happened last week. As always, it was a great experience and I think we pulled off some beautiful themes. The issue will be on local Springfield, MO newsstands in June and we can’t wait to see how the styling turned out in images. Thank you to all the vendors and models that participated in making the shoot a success. You can check out previous issues online at 417 Bride.

Here’s a very tiny sneak peak into the shoots…

Ruche Wedding Collection

One of our favorite online stores, Ruche, is launching a wedding collection on Monday! Ruche is known for its affordability  - which is absolutely wonderful when it comes to planning a wedding on a budget.

Green Wedding Shoes recently featured a preview of the collection. It’s light, feminine and beautiful. Not to mention that the photos are gorgeous as well!Images by Stephanie Williams of This Modern Romance.

Engagement: Megan & Corey

In the spirit of Valentine’s Day tomorrow, we thought we’d share some images from Megan & Corey’s engagement session. We will be assisting in the coordination of their day this summer and can’t wait to see this sweet couple tie the knot! To see more from their session, click here.

Wedding: Cheri and Adam

It was a change of pace for the girls of Social Graces to not run a wedding but enjoy and be in a wedding. Back in September, our good friend, Cheri got married and we had the privilege of standing beside her. We were able to step back and not plan a thing, except her shower of course. She did ask our intern, Alli to run the show and she did amazing. We wish them the best of luck, love you guys.

Vendor Spotlight: Liddie Mae Designs

One of the best parts of working with 417 Bride is all the incredible local vendors we get to work with. Liddie Mae is one of those vendors. We actually blogged about Liddie Mae back in May. However, we wanted to share the things she custom made for the upcoming issue of 417 Bride. Both of these were for our “Something Borrowed” theme which had a somewhat hippie and bohemian flair to it. The top headpiece was worn by one of the brides and the bottom piece was photographed along with other accessories for the theme. We can’t wait to see how it turns out in the magazine!

Real Wedding: Andrew & Jerrica

This wedding was extremely special to me (Megan). It was my brother’s. Besides my own wedding, this is most hands on I’ve been with a wedding. From venue decisions, to menu, to flowers, to centerpieces, to ceremony decor, to invites… you name it and I was there for it. Most of this was due to the fact that Andrew and Jerrica live in Denver, but got married in Springfield. I was very proud of how every detail turned out. But I was even more proud of the couple that Andrew and Jerrica have become. So in love, so grateful and so happy to be with one another. This day goes down in the books as being one of the best days of my life.

DIY: Paper Bag Wedding Favors

These paper bag wedding favors were the perfect touch to my brother’s wedding last month. We filled the bags with Italian Wedding Knot cookies (we had to celebrate our Italian heritage!), but the bags could be filled with any sweet treat you like. This DIY is super simple.

This is all you need:

  • Small paper bags (we picked these up from Hobby Lobby)
  • A stamp (we used the “&” theme throughout the day, so this stamp was the perfect find!)
  • Miniature doilies
  • Miniature clothespins
  • A sweet treat!
  • ENJOY!

Real Wedding: Jenna and Adam

This summer I had the privilege of coordinating such a beautiful wedding. Jenna, the bride was radiant and extremely calm. She was amazing to work with and so was her whole family.  The lime green and hot pink matched her personality and the summer weather perfectly.  Jenna was so relaxed, that her and her girls enjoyed a couple of tacos from Taco Bell moments before the ceremony.  They were so funny and kept my job easy the whole day.  Congrats Jenna and Adam!

Real Wedding: Blake and Mindy

Back in June, I had the opportunity of coordinating a wedding at the beautiful Hickory Hills Country Club. I had no idea the treasure that was hidden at this place. The day went smooth, the only worry was the 30% chance of rain that was lingering over us. However, once we committed to keep everything outside, the rain cleared and the day was gorgeous. The bride was nice and relaxed, the groomsmen were funny and helpful and the photographer, Kim McKinney made things extra easy. What a fun day for a very fun couple.
